Sustainable energy, environmental stewardship, and water security depend fundamentally on our ability to acquire, capture, and utilize small molecules such as CO 2 H\(_2 )\, H\(_2 )\O, and CH \(_4 )\ . Here at the Han Lab, we design soft materials for membrane separations to tackle the toughest challenges in the energy–water–sustainability nexus.
Our research interest lies in the rational design of soft materials and polymeric membranes for precisely distinguishing molecules by size/solubility/reactivity differences, understanding the structure-property correlation, and applying them to key energy-intensive separations.
